Author Kathryn Price traveled to Dharamsala, India during college on a quest to discover her spiritual path.
While living with a family in Dharamsala she witnessed a tiny mouse stealing treats from the family's altar to the Buddha. She imagined what the little creature might have learned in such a sacred space and the story of Tsi Tsi the mouse and the loving Buddha came to life.
Below are pictures of Kathryn and her trip to India. She is now an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and brings her uniquely spunky lens to her love of all wisdom traditions.
Kathyrn enlisted her first cousin Traer Price–a fountain choreographer and world traveler herself, seen below wearing her own jewelry line–to illustrate and publish this sweet tale.
Traer is a great lover of kitties. Her orange tabby named Larry was the inspiration for Tsi Tsi's unlikely friend, the cat.
